Reverse Engineering /Digitizing Project.
A client tasked us with reverse-engineering and digitizing a 45-year-old PCB, providing only a faulty board, outdated schematics, and a few equipment images. A key challenge was replacing two obsolete capacitors with modern equivalents. After carefully disassembling the PCB, we scanned and imaged its copper layers. The middle image shows raw scan data, prior to being processed through our proprietary filtering system. By analyzing multiple scans, we successfully generated Gerber files in 274-X format, complete with silk, soldermask, and drill data, bringing a legacy design into the modern era.
